Chen Xiaohu is an expert who receives special allowance from the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. He holds the titles of Chongqing Engineering Survey and Design Master, Eminent Expert and Master Teacher of the Chongqing Talent Program, Ph.D., Professor-Level Senior Engineer, and Licensed Engineer in the United States. In China, he also serves as a member of the Higher Education Civil Engineering Professional Assessment Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, a part-time professor at Central South University, an off-campus doctoral supervisor at Chongqing University, and an academic and technical leader in Chongqing.
He had previously worked at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center of the Federal Highway Administration in the United States Department of Transportation, and TYLin International Group in the United States.
He has led and participated in the design, consulting, and research of over 20 major bridge projects and critical infrastructure projects both domestically and internationally. His innovative engineering achievements include the Chongqing Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge, Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge, the fourth cross-sea bridge in Macao (Macao Bridge), and the Kanawha River Bridge in the United States. He has received numerous national, provincial, and ministerial-level awards for design and technological innovation.
